Healthy and Vegan Tofu Scramble Recipe

One of my favourite quick and easy breakfast recipes is tofu scramble. It perfectly resembles scrambled eggs, but it has more protein and  it is super healthy. 





Here is everything you need to make it yourself:


Ingredients:

- 280g of extra firm tofu (one packet) 

- 1 tsp garlic powder

- 1 tsp onion powder

- 1 tsp paprika

- 1 tsp turmeric powder

- 1 tsp nutritional year (I use this one with extra B12 - affiliate)

- 1 tsp plant milk

- 1 tsp olive oil

- black salt (kala namak); this is what adds the eggy flavour, switch to normal salt if you don’t like that taste! (I use this one - affiliate)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Directions:

-  scramble the tofu with your hands and place it in a bowl

- add the olive oil to the pan when it is hot  

- add the tofu and stir for 1 minute 

- add all the rest of the ingredients except the black salt and mix very well until you see the powders are evenly distributed 

- allow it to cook thoroughly (until the tofu browns) 

- remove from heat and add the black salt (this allow for the taste to be absorbed rather than evaporated which is what happens if you add it to  the pan)
